Jane Geesman
Three years ago, Jane Geesman moved to the Bay area from Portland, where she had been
actively involved in theatre since the 1970s. She received her actor training
from the Portland Actors Conservatory and later earned an M.F.A. in Drama, which
led to her work as a teacher and director. As a performer, Jane has appeared in
over 30 productions, plus numerous films and television commercials. Directing
credits in Portland include "The Miss Firecracker Contest," "Stop Kiss" and
"Memory of Water." In the peninsula area, she has directed "Assorted Flavors"
and "Collected Stories" for Dragon Productions, as well as "Anton in Show
Business" and "Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat" for Palo Alto
Players. Jane also leads the "Active Acting" workshops for actors of all ages
and all levels of experience.
