Who Are We?

Dragon Productions Theatre Company is a non-profit organization founded by Executive Artistic Director, Meredith Hagedorn. We are thrilled to call downtown Redwood City our new home! Since 1999, Dragon has been building a reputation for low-cost high-quality live theatre entertainment. The new Dragon Theatre houses a 70-seat intimate theatre area, a classroom, and a studio space.

What is our mission?

Dragon’s mission is to produce professional theatre that is uncommon, intimate, and accessible to its audiences, artists, and community.

Here’s what we are doing -

Regularly producing consummately professional, unusual plays year-round that attract substantial audiences from all over the Bay Area.
Attracting and retaining professional actors from throughout the Bay Area for all our productions.
Contributing to the general appreciation and enjoyment of the arts in the local community through acting workshops with recognized experts, classes and camps for all ages.
Offering an inexpensive intimate alternative venue for community use - from off-site meetings, individual artist’s or group productions, to birthday parties, you can think of the Dragon Theatre to full-fill your space needs.
